RED LIGHT DISTRCIT

Amsterdam.

Thats pretty much all that I can say. There are a few facts that I found interesting about Amsterdam and I will list them below:

1) It is so dirty (not that i expected anything else...I mean pot and prostitution is legal)
2) There is an Argentinian steakhouse on literally EVERY corner.
3) The prostitutes are TERRIBLE looking.

I think that I will first address #3 as it seems to be the most shocking to me. There is a prositute in every single window in the entire Red Light District. They are literally wearing next to nothing and stand in the window posted up and dancing to the beat of whatever techno music is playing in the background. There are alley ways that have drag queens available as well as every single type of woman you could ever imagine. I saw several men take up their offer and they literally open the door, the guy comes in, and they pull a curtain over the glass door so you cannot see in. It is unbelievable..like nothing I have ever seen before.

The other two shocking items are pretty self explanitory.

So today, we rode the train to Amsterdam, stopped at a Belgian version of Hooters for a beer and immediately went to the Anne Frank house. That was quite an experience. To believe that those people lived like that for as long as they did is unbelievable. I bought a book so I could remember it better.

Then we walked to the hard rock cafe, taking in the Amsterdam secenary as we went. I will post a picture as soon as I get my pictures uploaded...hopefully tomorrow.

I need to go to bed, I'm pretty exhausted. I'll write more later.
